You just got beautiful new hardwood flooring installed in your home -- great for you! We know you're excited, but if you want to preserve its beauty then you are going to have to take precautions in order to avoid scratches from forming on your floors. So with that said, here are a few tips to prevent scratches from vandalizing your floor and keep them looking as new as possible -- even if they already have a few years of age in them!

Tip #1: If you have large, immovable furniture, cut out a small piece of cardboard and place it under the furniture's legs. This will do wonders in preventing dents.

Tip #2: If you're buying brand new tables and chairs, be sure to buy ones with rubber pads underneath. Rubber pads work wonders in preventing scratches especially when chairs are moving up and about.

Tip #3: Refrain from dragging furniture and appliances whenever you have to move them. As much as possible, lift the piece of furniture with someone else's assistance. If it's too heavy for you, consider getting a device with wheels to move it.

Tip #4: If you're going to buy a piece of furniture that you're sure to move around a lot, consider getting a variation of it that has wheels attached to the legs.

These are simple tips that you can implement today to take good care of your hardwood floors. With simple maintenance, you can certainly prevent scratches and dents from ruining your brand new installation and keep them beautifying your home for years on end.

Depending on what type of construction project you are undertaking, whether it be new construction, home remodel or renovation you may have to consider when you need Professional Liability Insurance coverage. In the instance of new construction if your project has been designed using the services of an architect, the architect should carry this type of errors and omissions policy but homeowner's don't always use or budget for these services. Not ensuring the design side of your project is insured, may place you at risk and here's why.

In terms of curb appeal, the first thing many people will notice when standing in front of a home is its siding. If your siding is fading out, or is dirty, it can reflect poorly on your home as a whole. When you reach this stage, it's probably a good idea to think about a new siding color; not only can this improve your home's look, it can help increase your home's value to a potential buyer should you decide to sell in the future.

Sometimes, we just need some changes made to the place we live in. We need change in the living room, our own bedrooms or even in the bathrooms of our house. When we talk about changing the structure, the style and the decoration of our bathrooms, we refer to it as bathroom remodelling.
