You just got beautiful new hardwood flooring installed in your home -- great for you! We know you're excited, but if you want to preserve its beauty then you are going to have to take precautions in order to avoid scratches from forming on your floors. So with that said, here are a few tips to prevent scratches from vandalizing your floor and keep them looking as new as possible -- even if they already have a few years of age in them!

Tip #1: If you have large, immovable furniture, cut out a small piece of cardboard and place it under the furniture's legs. This will do wonders in preventing dents.

Tip #2: If you're buying brand new tables and chairs, be sure to buy ones with rubber pads underneath. Rubber pads work wonders in preventing scratches especially when chairs are moving up and about.

Tip #3: Refrain from dragging furniture and appliances whenever you have to move them. As much as possible, lift the piece of furniture with someone else's assistance. If it's too heavy for you, consider getting a device with wheels to move it.

Tip #4: If you're going to buy a piece of furniture that you're sure to move around a lot, consider getting a variation of it that has wheels attached to the legs.

These are simple tips that you can implement today to take good care of your hardwood floors. With simple maintenance, you can certainly prevent scratches and dents from ruining your brand new installation and keep them beautifying your home for years on end.

Water fountains and particularly wall fountains have been here for quite some time, bringing a touch of lavishness as well as comfort to the most remarkable houses all over the world. Egyptians used water fountains in the open air backyards, while the Farsi build there fountains inside inside embedded backyards as a means of stimulating the gods. In these modern times, wall fountains add tranquility to any garden or indoor decor, providing a way for the most humble locations to be relaxed.

Have you seen outdoor canvas art at a restaurant patio or a friend's house, and realized that must be what your space is missing? You probably thought that a piece of outdoor art would add the focal point you have been looking for, but wondered how practical it would really be. Many people assume that this type of art has to be brought in every night, especially in the rain.

If your only outdoor space is a courtyard comparable in size to a human scale postage stamp, you might think that there's little purpose in hiring a landscaper to beautify your space. We'd like to urge you to reconsider, however, by detailing the various things a landscaper can do to make your courtyard the most irresistible 'room' in your home. When your landscaper is finished and has realised your garden's potential, you might even find that your courtyard isn't as small as you first thought!
