Resin wall coatings are over time being used for external and internal finishes to walls. This are easy to use powder substances mixed with water to form a paste. They give good aesthetics as far as colors and patterns are concerned. Most of this pastes can be formed to give different surfaces like brickwork, timber, fibre glass finishes. Timber, plaster, chipboard, concrete, metal, medium density fibre board, polystyrene take this coatings.

Preparation for applying resin wall coatings is to make surfaces relatively smooth. Most walls have plaster on the external surface. First plaster the wall normally. Use a wooden float to smoothen the plaster. Float it by doing circular motions. this allows the plaster to be rough yet straight and without bumps. Use a straight edge to confirm straightness and plumbness. Other surfaces wipe and remove all dirt with a soft brush and water to clean.

Most resin wall coatings should be applied in one single coat. Since the coat is homogeneously colored, it will be the same after application. Mix the paste with water if it is not premixed. Use a wooden float to spread initially for a rough texture. Use up and down strokes. To give a rougher texture add some granules into the paste before spreading. Do up and down strokes to create recesses into the pastes. Continue the stokes to the whole wall.

When applying resin coats to walls, make a thickness of between two to three millimeters. When making brickwork patterns use masting tape to mark out the joints both vertical and horizontal. apply the paste and use a steel float with horizontal strokes as a built up wall. After smoothening the whole wall strip off the tape. This will expose joints to show a brickwork texture. This coatings don't require curing and dry between four to six hours.

Upon first inspection your home seems to need just a few touch ups, maybe a crack filled in here or there and you think you're okay and ready for the next project. However this may not...

Most homeowners are unlikely to investigate their insurance policy before beginning and after completing a new home improvement project. This can produce a negative and often disastrous outcome in cases of injury or shoddy workmanship. It is imperative to examine your home insurance policy and consult with your insurance agent throughout the renovation project.

Flipping a house is the process of purchasing a home, not intended for a primary residence, to resell in the short term with added updates and improvements for financial benefit to the flipper. Sounds like a project, isn't?
