You just got beautiful new hardwood flooring installed in your home -- great for you! We know you're excited, but if you want to preserve its beauty then you are going to have to take precautions in order to avoid scratches from forming on your floors. So with that said, here are a few tips to prevent scratches from vandalizing your floor and keep them looking as new as possible -- even if they already have a few years of age in them!

Tip #1: If you have large, immovable furniture, cut out a small piece of cardboard and place it under the furniture's legs. This will do wonders in preventing dents.

Tip #2: If you're buying brand new tables and chairs, be sure to buy ones with rubber pads underneath. Rubber pads work wonders in preventing scratches especially when chairs are moving up and about.

Tip #3: Refrain from dragging furniture and appliances whenever you have to move them. As much as possible, lift the piece of furniture with someone else's assistance. If it's too heavy for you, consider getting a device with wheels to move it.

Tip #4: If you're going to buy a piece of furniture that you're sure to move around a lot, consider getting a variation of it that has wheels attached to the legs.

These are simple tips that you can implement today to take good care of your hardwood floors. With simple maintenance, you can certainly prevent scratches and dents from ruining your brand new installation and keep them beautifying your home for years on end.

The bathroom design contributes much to the beauty of the home, reflecting on your taste and personality as well. In fact, the bathroom is your personal retreat, allowing you to experience tranquility as you unwind and ease into a soothing bath or a comfortable shower. Much of the beauty comes from well-coordinated bathroom furniture that serves to eliminate clutter and add utility to the space.

It is not too long ago that the idea of having a shower enclosure situated in our bathroom was only an idea for the majority of home owners. Now most home owners take them for granted and providing they have the space will have both a shower enclosure and a separate bathtub situated within the bathroom.

The majority of modern baths require a bath panel to hide away the bath construction below which is not as beautifully finished as the top of the bath. There are some exceptions to this however, as roll top baths or floor standing baths will not require a bath panel, as they are designed to be completely visible in the bathroom once installed. The range of bath panels is really endless so that you can find one that will suit your bathroom decor and design. Another option to buying a bath panel is to make one yourself which will allow you to create a panel that fits your existing bathroom style perfectly.
